Museums and collections
The University of Strasbourg owns a wide range of scientific collections inherited from its various teaching and researching activities through time. Besides the inventory, the preservation and the management of these collections, the University is committed to sharing its heritage and wealth through various activities of promotion and scientific communication.

Sport

SUAPS, the university sports centre, offers over 50 types of sports, such as badminton, dance, handball, judo, and even skiing. A hiking club is also active which organizes regular outings into the nearby Vosges Mountains in France and the Black Forest in Germany.
SUAPS also organises training and competitions at academic, regional and national level. There is a sport here for you !

Campus Facilities

Your student ID card is called the Pass Campus. This all-purpose smartcard is given to you upon enrolment. In addition to its ID functions, your Pass Campus can be used to pay for canteens and for printing facilities, and serves as your library card. Outside campus, it can be used as a travelcard on all public transports in the city.

Numerous facilities for students are available: tram lines, shops, book shops, restaurants, etc. 10 min by tram or 8 min by bike to get from the University to down town Strasbourg !

Students may use the University of Strasbourg libraries for bibliography on a broad range of subjects.

The University Health Service (Service de Santé Universitaire : SSU),provides medical services to all students, including a free preventive medical examination in the first three years of studies at the university.

Health services include:

  • consultations with medical specialists (sports medicine, nutrition, support of smoking cessation)
  • vaccination
  • disability support
  • relaxation
  • stress management workshops
  • audiometry
  • planning centre: free and anonymous STD tests (HIV, Hepatitis…), gynaecology consultations, information on contraception, sexuality, abortion, STDs etc.

University canteens and cafés are open around the campus.The canteens serve three meals a day on week days and brunch on Sundays.

A two-course lunch costs only 3.20 Euros (if paid for with a student card).
